Team Change Factor qualifys for Junior Olympics



Team Change Factor qualifies for Junior Olympics Team CHANGE FACTOR, a junior football team was one of two teams to qualify nationwide from Florida to compete in Junior Olympics. CHANGE FACTOR team members are from the 941 area code comprised of youth from Sarasota, Palmetto and Bradenton. Head Coach, Korey Waters said he believes in the young people he coaches and knows it’s their determination, hard work and team work that enabled the team to qualify to compete in Junior Olympics. Waters also gives high praise to defensive coach Alvoid Mays and offensive coach Shavion Howell. Waters also includes the contribution and dedication of the parents, volunteers and community as well that allows and encourages the team to succeed at its highest level.

Change Factor is a youth sports program that started 7x7 in 2011 and continues to make history by being the winners of the first ever 7x7 football ages 15 years and under division National Championship with IMG in 2011. The team continues its’ winning attitude and since then Change Factor has won 6 Regional Tournament championships. The team has had total of 4 appearances in the IMG National championship in 2012, 2013, and 2014 and now has qualified again for the IMG National championship .Change Factor has ventured out to participate in the pylon 7x7 football tournaments and has also qualified for the 2016 Pylon national championship . Yet the big talk for this year is that for the first time ever in the history of the USA football is being introduced Junior Olympics and change Factor has qualified as one of the top teams in Florida to participate in the first ever Junior Olympics. 7x7 football is a fast growing competitive football sport that is allows youth opportunities for scholarships. Change Factor went into the South West Regional championship tournament on May 21st and 22nd with Colonel Rick Wells son Tyler Wells leading the team as quarterback Tyler led the team with a 2-2 record Saturday and with a impressive 4-0 record Sunday. The victory would not have been complete without an interception by Nyron Pittman on the extra point against South West Florida All Stars a team based out of Fort Myers and Naples area.
